Default Criticial Error Pixel Shader, at chosing race

Hi, I'm new to Lineage II so please spare me if I say something, ok?

Anyways, after a long and hard struggle of redownloading the interlude client (since the links here kept hanging up on me) and installing it, I finally managed to get it running.

Now when I click on frintezza.exe and click on the red-brownish start button it takes me to the login screen.

After some time I managed to log in AND get past that damn agreement. All was fine untill then.

It didn't matter which server I joined, I couldn't pick a race, whenever I clicked on one of the arrows to scroll to a race it would hang up on me, quit the game and give me this critical errorL

OS : Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU : GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2675 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video : RADEON 9250 (6614)

CreateVertexShader failed(D3DERR_INVALIDCALL).

History: CreateShader <- FD3DVertexShader::FD3DVertexShader <- UD3DRenderDevice::GetVertexShader <- FD3DRenderInterface::SetVertexStreams <- USubSkeletalMeshInstance::Render <- USkeletalMeshInstance::Render <- FDynamicActor::Render <- SolidRendering <- RenderLevel <- FLevelSceneNode::Render <- FPlayerSceneNode::Render <- UGameEngine:raw <- UWindowsViewport::Repaint <- UWindowsClient::Tick <- ClientTick <- UGameEngine::Tick <- UpdateWorld <- MainLoop
So I thought i'd run a test to see if my computer could actually run the game, however there wasn't "the chaotic throne" so I had to test it with "the chaotic chronicle".

I got the recommended so I figured this game ought to work as well then.

Lastly i'll submit my PC's specs so if anyone can tell me what to do to get past that critical error, you have my thanks.

Reinstall your graphic card drivers and DirectX.

I've followed your advice, sadly to no avail.

Might there be other ways?

Reinstalling, deleting and updating, or maybe otherwise.

Yes, I just follwed MrNice's advice on looking it up on google and found that same piece of advise.

Turns out, that the Radeon 9200 series have problems with shadows. So in order to create a character I had to disable shadow and reflection and set the graphics to their lowest. I can play the game with the correct graphics though.

tl;dr:
I figured it out, thanks for all the help everyone. (now off to sleep, it's 03:00 here.)
